Churches and Cathedrals
There are so many incredible churches and cahtedrals in Moscow that it is hard to know the best place to start, so I would recommend the Kremlin.

Cathedral Square and the Kremlin in Moscow
Part of the Kremlin complex, Cathedral Square is extremely historic and has got its named because it is somewhat surrounded by a number of grand cathedrals, built with typical Old-Russian flair. These include the Cathedral of Archangel Michael and the Cathedral of the Annunciation, as well as the Tsar Canon.

The Moscow State University
You can see the Moscow State University from the Luiznicky Park. It is the oldest of all Russia's universities and was founded in 1755. Well over 30,000 students now study here. It often gets abbreviated to the MSU, and may also be the Lomonosov University, after its founder. People come here to have a go on the ski jump.

The very heart of Moscow - the Kremlin
The Red Square is the very heart of the city, and the Kremlin is the main feature on the Red Square. Sure, the cartoon-like St. Basil's Cathedral is there with its whacky architecture and coloured roofs, but it is the Kremlin that dominates the square and is what Moscow is all about, and Russia for that. You can visit much of the Kremlin and its cathedrals and palaces. We enjoyeed the armoury and the masterpieces of jewellery within the Diamond Fund exhibition.
